MEET THE FOUNDER

Hello, my name is Hannah

Welcome to Maylen

Our Vision and Purpose

Dear Mama,

Maylen creates clothing with intention, drawing from a time when garments were made to last. Each piece is designed to be worn often, cared for well, and kept beyond the moment it was first needed, part of a family’s lived history, not just a season.

Maylen didn’t start as a business.
It started as a feeling I couldn’t shake.

Somewhere between holding my babies and watching them grow faster than I ever imagined, I realized how quickly everything changes. The tiny details, the softness of their skin, the way their clothes fit for just a moment, slowly fade.

And I didn’t want them to.

I found myself drawn to pieces that carried history, vintage lace, soft worn fabrics, materials that had lived a life before mine. They felt grounding, like they held stories… like they understood the weight of memory. I’m a mother of four, and a newborn and family photographer, so I don’t just feel this in my own life, I witness it every day. I am invited into fleeting, intimate moments families will never get back. I watch mothers hold their babies close, knowing it won’t last. Being part of so many stories is what changed me. It made me want to bring something back that feels lost.

I remember one day, I was alone, no kids, no noise, in a quiet antique store. It felt like a time capsule. Wedding dresses, baby clothes, cradles, glassware… pieces of life, all held in stillness.

Then I found an old wooden armoire filled with baby clothes.....I stopped.

The detail took my breath away, the lace, the hand embroidery, the tiniest buttons, each one placed with care. These pieces were over 100 years old… and still here. Still able to be held. Still carrying the hands and stories of the people who made them. In that moment, I realized, this is what we’re missing.

Because somewhere along the way, we traded meaning for convenience. Clothing became faster, cheaper, disposable, worn for a moment, then forgotten. And yes, there’s a place for that. Kids should play, get messy, and live fully in their clothes. But those pieces don’t stay with you. They aren’t saved or passed down. They were never meant to.

Maylen is my way of bringing something back.

Each piece is made with intention, using hand-sourced vintage lace, organic cotton, and timeless materials. Pieces meant to be worn, loved, tucked away, and one day… passed on. This is for the mothers who feel it all a little deeper. The ones who know how quickly it goes. The ones who want to remember. Because some things are too beautiful to let disappear.

This is our story, thank you for being apart of it.
